XP and Guillemot Ferrari wheel

XP and Guillemot Ferrari wheel

Any problems with this combo?  I think it's the only device I own that might
have a problem with XP.

I use the 1.23 drivers in 98SE.  Could not use the newer updated
drivers--totally screwed the FFB and other problems.  I don't use a
profiler, so I am only interested in proper FFB and split axis pedals.
Looks like the only driver available for XP is the "new" one that didn't
work worth a ***in GPL or any other sim. I use.

Thanks for any advice.

Marc

XP and the Ferrari FF wheel work flawlessly for me. Every game, including
GPL (although calibrating is a pain in the ass).

I'm using the drivers off the thrustmaster.com site, and I think they are XP
specific.

XP and the Ferrari work together just fine for me. Confirmed OK in GPL,
NR2002, F1-2002 and LFS. Using the drivers from the Thrustmaster site.

2.5.14.0 drivers work perfect for me with XP in N2002 and F12002. Don't now

I don't see those on the Guillemot site.  They seem to have 2.3.3 with a
file name that suggests a version 2.3.6e.  Where do you get the 2.5.14.0's?

Split axis works for sure?

Thanks,

Marc

Some of the thrustmaster sites seem to have a glitch which makes it
impossible to select the correct wheel in order to get the right drivers.
Use the Italian site. http://www.racesimcentral.net/

Click on "drivers" under "Supporto" in the top middle of the page.

Then choose "volanti" and "go".

Then "Force feedback racing wheel".

You'll see the 25.14 drivers for XP. Split axis works perfectly for N2002,
F12002, and LFS.

I have problems with the Ferrari wheel and XP.  F1 2002, GP4 and NR2002 all
have the same problem, and that is after some time (20-30 mins) the screen
freezes, comes back after a couple of seconds, and then the FF has
disappeared!
If it was only one title that exhibited the problem, I would have suspected
the game, but all 3.....hmmm.

Thanks David.

Odd that the Italian site would have newer drivers than the main site...?
Are these unified drivers?  Looks like the same file for 98, 2000 and XP.

Because I must have some sort of ***ic tendencies, given the problems
I had with drivers for this wheel already, I tried installing the new 25.14
drivers...figuring there may have been some improvement between version 1
and 25. :)

Installed perfectly.  Detected wheel perfectly.  Shows as "OK" in Control
Panel when wheel is on.  No traces of old wheel in there.

As soon as I hit Properties to go set-up the wheel (split axis, e.g.), the
following message appears: "Error: Contact with the device has been lost.
Please ensure that the power and communications cables are attached."

Turn off wheel and it disappears from the CP.  Turn wheel back on and it
reappears.  Try Properties again and get the same message.

Uninstall TM 25.14.  Run the reg. cleaning utility from the original disk.
Re-install 25.14.  Same thing.

Before I just go back to 1.23, the only version of drivers that has ever
worked properly on this computer for this wheel, do you have any
suggestions?

Thanks,

Marc

I don't know what to tell you. Sorry. If you've deleted absolutely
everything and done and a completely fresh install of the 25.14 drivers then
I have no idea why they don't work.
