Finally got around to d/l ing the RT demo (70 megs takes about 6 hours
for me - *why* wasn't the promised demo on PC Format's CD, eh?), adn
I'm having a problem a couple of other people have mentioned - black
squares instead of menu text on the startup screen.

The card is an admittedly old V3-2000, but it does have the right
drivers, and I have got DirectX8. So...

a) Why is it doing this?
b) How do I stop it?
c) Has the full game fixed this "bug"?

With my old V3, I had this problem when I was using older drivers.
Went back to the 1.07 drivers and all was fixed.

Don't know about the full game tho, can't help you there.

Cheers Rafe, problem fixed now. Still white squares where the preview
pics of the cars and stages should be, but I can live with that.

The V3 was actually really weird with RT - the car itself was a weird
golden colour and mostly reflections. It's red now I have my GF, but I
was wondering about the weird paint job for a while!
