I appeal to all drivers not on the front row of the grid during online
GPL races to take it easy at the start. If you are in the middle of the
third row then it is very unlikely that you are going to be able to pull
ahead of  those people in front of you on the grid. Bear in mind that
the drivers ahead of you are watching out for the drivers ahead and
around them and will not be getting off quite as fast as perhaps they
could if they were on the front row. There is no point blasting into the
back of them. They will skew across the track and take out still more
drivers and the chances of you getting clear of all that mayhem is
remote. Perhaps the very good drivers can go around people at the start
but the very good drivers will be on the front row. Instead, concentrate
on holding your start position and watch out for those to the front and
sides of you. If necessary take evasive action. Except on the front row,
defensive starts are more likely to win races than aggressive ones.
Please don't ruin the race for everyone else.
Cheers,
Paul

This soooooooo true ! Please remind this post when you start.

Another thing : I often see on the front row some hotlappers that cannot
start without spinning due to too much acceleration, they should be more
careful too.

I totally agree, I have had many a race ruined where I have been 'booted'
off from behind by some jockey who thinks he is going to elevate himself
from the middle/rear of the pack to the front row in one fowl swoop!  I
don't know what the answer is, but people don't seem to learn. Better to be
last round the first corner and in one piece ;-)DHawnt (UK)
