Well I got my GeForce later yesterday, and it's obvious now that my cpu is
little framerate difference between the tnt2 non-ultra and the ddr geforce.
At Barcelona (with everything set to maximum, except for low sky and no
mirrors) in 800x600 I get between 17-34fps depending where I am on the
circuit, and that's about what I had with the tnt2. I realize I could tone
down the detail just a tad, but I really didn't notice a big fps hit when I
went from everything set to medium detail, to everything maximized. Granted
all I do is hotlaps by myself for now, which obviously is another story from
having other cars rendered on the track.
Time to save up for a new cpu I guess now.....
