Nope. For some strange reason I cannot calibrate it in the windows control
panel.
I have downloaded the thrustmaster propanel and it will not work in that
either.
I played GP2 today and managed to calibrate it in the control method of that
game, but I am still unable to configure my GP1 in F1RS, strange.
Think I will have to contact Thrustmaster and see if they can help at all.

He's right, test it under the game controller thingy in the control
panel, if it works there then itll work in the game (provided youve redefined
the controls in the game as well).
Also, under the game controller in win95, dont select 4 button steering wheel
or whatever, select thrusmaster t1/t2 with adapter, it gets rid of a big
deadzone youd otherwise get selecting the former option

Just a thought or two (maybe way off the mark, but)....
Do you only have 1 game controller card in your system?
Also, you may want to try using the old joystick applet in the Control
Panel to recognize your wheel in Win95 first and the try using the
ProPanel applet.
Or try removing all devices from your ProPanel, unplug your wheel, shut
down and reboot your machine. Now plug in your wheel and try to get it
detected by ProPanel.

Try selecting "T1/T2 without adapter" in the joystick selection screen if you
have a GP1 wheel that came without an adapter. If you have an adapter choose the
GP1 wheel instead.

Btw, what's the adapter?

The T1 and early productions of the T2 and GP1 were hardwired with the
paddles (gas/brake) on the X2 axis (joystick2) and the wheel on the X1
axis (joystick1). As Win95 games and sims started coming out they only
recognized controllers on the same joystick. The adaptor "rewires" the
unit and puts the paddles on the Y1 axis (joystick1).
Here is the Tech Doc for the GP1 & T1/T2 regarding the adaptor.

the year of manufacture (961214). The second two numbers are the month
of manufacture (961214) in this case the 12 month or December. The last
two numbers are the day of manufacture(961114) in this case the 14 day.
The proper translation of 961214 is December 14, 1996.
