ICR2 sound problems

by Brian.Bus » Thu, 23 Nov 1995 04:00:00

i have a Gateway p75 (8Mb) with ATI Mach 64(2Mb), and Ensoniq
Soundscape card. I've tried booting from a floppy but that
doesn't seem to change anything.

the intro screen runs fine till the voice sample, then the sound
dies, and i don't get any further samples. the sound in the game
seems to work ok (engine noise, and opponent engines) but
i don't get any further samples, including when i hit the pace car.
all sounds are on in the option screens. is this just a memory
problem?

i seem to be ensoniqly challenged,

brian

I have a similar setup. I do get the sounds when I hit the pace car,
it isn't very loud so try turning up your speakers. In VGA mode I get
the announcer at the beginning and then music, but there is no music
in SVGA. Just how much sound is there anyway???
