SCGT error message

Recent posts on this oldie prompted me to fire it back up again, and after a
full application, followed by application of the 1.551 patch, I'm getting
the following error message when trying to load tracks at 1024x768;
"error locating anim map file d:\games\sports car gt\chta\maps\flga00.bmp."
(d: is the hd partition for games, but there is no subdirectory under SCGT
called 'chta', and there are no .bmp files anywhere in the SCGT folders.)

It doesn't happen every time, and has let me run at the top res on a few
occasions.
System spec is;
900MHz Athlon
192meg RAM
GeForce2 GTS 32meg
Maxi-fortissimo sound card
+other bits - can supply details if relevant.

Anyone got any ideas?

Also, what on earth does 'CVMC' stand for/do when racing? Pressing the 'I'
(I think) key toggles it on and off, but I can't find any reference to it in
any of the docs - sorry if this is a stupidly obvious question.

Thanks in advance,

Rick.

you are missing a moving flag from one of your tracks, it is in the ani.ani
file which deals with animation, but it is not in the Cmaps.mas file (or the
tracks .mas file) where it should be.......How to solve it I have no idea
The cvmc thing is a Constant Velocity thingamajigg which doesn't work...I
think.

You could try copying the Cmaps .mas from the CD and overwriting the
installed one, or get somebody elses Cmaps.mas if the don't have the
problem.....I think

Whenever I try to run SCGT at 1024*768 I get an error, if I jump down
to 800*600 it works, so try 800*600.
