It's the Glide driver!!! Probably your V2 is shipped with glide driver v2.54.
This version is not compatable with GPL. There are 2 options:
1) Revert to the older v2.53 glide driver. go to
http://www.the-fastlane.com/patches.htm and download Glide2x.dll v2.53. Install
this file in your GPL directory (c:\sierra\gpl). This way only GPL uses the
older version all other 3dfx games use the newer 2.54.
2) This is the better option (IMHO): Download the newest 3dfx glide drivers
(v2.56) and update your current v2.54 with it (de-install the current version
first!). This way all games benefit from it. V2.56 is compatible with GPL (I've
got it installed too) and the graphics are slightly better (colors more
bright). The native 3dfx drivers can be found at http://www.3dfx.com Always
check if your VooDoo card vendor has got this driver too (maybe it is optimized
for your card), if not download the native 3dfx version.
Success,
Jan.
