Applying negative camber to the RF tire helps the car turn left, and vice
versa for the LF tire. Applying positive camber has the opposite effect. To
help the car turn left, you apply negative camber to the RF and positive
camber to the LF. For the two road courses, I usually add negative camber
to both front tires, slightly more on the LF since you turn 360 degrees
more to the right than to the left. The tire on the outside of the corner
dominates the steering in the turn because of weight transfer. So in a
right hand corner, the camber of the LF tire will have more of an effect
than the camber of the RF tire.

If you go too far, the inside or outside of the tire will wear out faster.
If you watched the WC race at Dover, a number of teams missed the setup on
camber and had problems with tire wear. Generally, you want to add as much
camber as possible while keeping the tire temperatures even across the
tire. Camber affects the shape of the contact patch as the car goes into
the corner, which can increase the grip. For racing tires on cars, camber
is usually limited to about 5 degrees. For motorcycles, the driver makes
the camber adjustment dynamically by leaning into the turn, and 50 degrees
is about maximum before grip starts falling off rapidly.
