Need for speed SE Help????

I just got this computer.  I bought The Need For Speed SE.  Problem is,
after I installed it, I went to play and I can't move.  The other cars move.
I even tried the gamepad I have, Nothing, I am at a loss on what to do.  Any
Ideas???

You need to put the car in gear so check what keys/buttons are assigned to
this function.
