Le Mans 24 Hour Game on Win2K?

by jame » Wed, 20 Jun 2001 06:00:13

Has anyone got Le Mans working on Windows 2000?  On my PC it will play in
testing mode (ie. get offered a drive and you can test the car).  As soon as
you choose a game (ie. arcade, championship and Le Mans) and go into the car
it crashes - no errors or anything, the loading bar goes up, gets to 99% and
then dumps you back to the desktop.

I tried the 16-bit desktop suggestion that Infogrames website suggested
without luck so emailed them.  They didn't seem interested in supporting
Windows2000 and suggested running a dual boot so I could play in Win98.

Anyone managed to get it working in Windows2000?

Why bother ? The Le Mans track licence was wasted on Infogrames . After
reading rave reviews in a magazine about it I spent my 30 on it only to be
stunned at how awful it was .

Save yourself the bother and get a real sim like GPL or else try one of the
modern F1 sims . If you lived nearby , I'd have given you my copy of LM 24hr
for free.
