Colin McRea Graphic Problem

by Paul Jage » Fri, 04 Dec 1998 04:00:00

When I enter the Rally School section, Colin McRea starts to talk but is cut
off after just a few words and the screen then jumps directly to the car,
which 4 out of 5 times moves itself ie. goes into reverse, or will not allow
me to change gears. Could my Microsoft Force Feed back wheel be causing the
initial video to stop prematurely? Has anyone had the same problem? Apart
from this the game works fine. I have downloaded the patch, but it makes no
difference.
I have a P2 450 with 256mb ram, 2xDiamond Monster 2 3dfx cards (12mb), MSFF
wheel.
Thanks
PJ

Hmm... I know this sounds obvious but have you calibrated the wheel
properly using the "Game Controllers" item in Control Panel?

Thanks for the suggestion - that was my first thought. Unfortunately, yes,
the wheel has been calibrated  but the problem still persists. I even tried
a minimum install, instead of a full, in order for the video sessions to
come straight off the CD but this still does not help.
