I fixed the steering wheel. I had to set it as the first controller.
The buttons simply were too highly numbered and GPL couldn't see them.
I wish I had another pedal so I could use it as a clutch, but it seems
that it really isn't needed.
I had downloaded the original demo before the game was released and
wasn't impressed by it. Then again I didn't have steering wheel back
then either. Anyway, I never bought the game because of the demo. Wish
I had, it is really a blast.
Any chance Papyrus is going to do a sequel ever? You would think
their Nascar titles would keep enough money coming in to do something
cool like GPL 2.
