GPL - What steering wheel?

Loving GPL so much that I'm contemplating buying a wheel/pedals.
Can anyone advise on a particular make, as I have only ever had joysticks
before. Also a) will it make the game any easier to get to grips with, and
b) excuse my ignorance but do these wheels come with a gear lever?
Thanks     PJ

I have heard rave reviews of the Actlab's RS Racing System wheel.  it is
said to be very sturdy and well built.  PCGamer gave it the PCGamer Choice
award.  the best part is it is only 69.99 US Dollars.  i think that will be
the wheel i get when i get one.

Look into the new Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback Wheel.  It's
very well made and very rugged.  Just got mine yesterday.

I don't agree.  The steering is accurate (although there is little feel,
even with return to center cranked up) I find it impossible to brake in GPL
without locking the wheels immediately.  In comparison, the TM Nascar/F1
wheel is much better, especially in the braking.

Well, try separating the throttle and brake to the Y and Z axis.   I
have no problem locking my brakes, unless I decide to.  You need to
check your setup also and see where the brake bias is.

Can't recommend these enough, but you'll need a PC buying budget for
one.

I just received my 2nd CDS (an upgrade from my original CDS to the
awesome all new CDS4000). The things are completely over-engineered
and even after 3 years of use my old one is still in perfect
condition. The features and look of the new model, along with the
arrival of GPL, were enough to make me want another one.
