help. N2 would work with a patch, but you would get fuzzy wall
images and horizons. Much faster framerate and
3d cars tho..ICR2 ONLY works in3d with video cards
based on the Rendition chipset so the 3dfx card
that is the Diamond Monster wouldn't help at all there.
4 meg is just fine for older games, but most of the
racing stuff was out before it. F1rs is the perfect
sim for a Voodoo1 card, which is what the Diamond is.
The reason it is so cheap is there are already 3 newer
generations of 3dfx based cards, Voodoo2, Banshee and
Voodoo3.
and finally, it should work just fine with your present
card...if you really want to go that route. A Diamond
Stealth II S220 is a rendition based vid card that will
run 3d in the native N2 mode, and with some work,
run the 3d mode of ICR2. But it is a 2d/3d card so
your ati would have to come out. It too is an older card
now and not really top shelf.
