Problem connecting online with Nascar3

I have a cable modem and I thought my connection online would be
pretty good but everytime I connect 90% of the time it won't let me
join races. I get a message saying "connection failed" or a message
telling me my latency is too hi. when I do get in races, the warp is
BAD. My modem is as fast as you would expect otherwise except online
with nascar3. Does anyone have any advice as to what I could do to
improve this? Thanks in advance.

I was just reading the multiplayer section of the manual over breakfast
and it said that cable modem users should read the "readme" file.  I'll
be trying mulitplayer tonight, hope it's smoooth sailing.

Jason.

If you have anything about cable modems in your readme file, please
share... My copy has nothing at all about it, even though the manual refers
to it...

So I hosted and join yesterday without even reading the readme file -- I
forgot.  Everything seemed to work flawlessly; No need for a readme file in
this case ;-)
