I have seen online racers with cars #24 and #88, for example.
How do you do this?

Goto Driver Info and select the multi list. Remove a car from your multi
list and add the car you want. Then when you get to the first
Multiplayer screen, on the middle right is name and car. The car you
added to the multi list should now be available.

Well, you could do it this way but then you will see other people driving
that same car on your system when in fact they are in a different car on
their system.

What you do is to enter the name of the car you wish to drive in the space
above the selection arrow.  Put your cursor in that space and backspace over
the entry already there.  Then type in the car file name that you wish to
drive.  The format for the car files already included are c99_## and g99_##
(c for WC and g for BGN) where the ## is the number of the car you wish to
drive (c99_24 would be Gordon's car.)

If you actually place that car into your multi list you will see other
people driving that car even though they never selected it.  Based upon the
position in your multi list will determine who else would get that car.
This can lead to confusion when they are in the #24 car on your system and
in the #143 car on everyone else's system.

So, just enter the name of the car file that you wish to drive but DO NOT
put it into your multi list.

In the initial Multiplayer screen there is an option to choose your car
file.  Looks like only the "F" cars show up in the dropdown menu but you can
manually type in whatever car is in the cars directory.  Winston Cup cars
are "C" and Busch cars are "G" where c99_24 would be the #24 WC car and
g99_17 would be the Busch #17 (previous to it's excursion to the wall
Saturday!)

Have fun.

The way that I do it is to 1st import the car that I want to drive into
my players profile.  The online multi carset is what Nas3 defaults to. Then
pick t_pla car and your set. If you want to drive a different car online,1st
you have to add it to the multi carset. This carset already has 43 cars in
it,so you will have to remove one car 1st. Then just pick that car.

As posted earlier, DO NOT place the car you wish to drive into the multi
list unless you want to see other people also driving that same car.

Ahh.... I've been wondering about that, thought it was just another glitch in
the game.

Thanks Mike...
