Question on Sidewinder FF wheel

by Don Awal » Fri, 17 Aug 2001 20:18:05

Hi all,

I am setting up the Sidewinder FF wheel with NR4, I am curious since there
is no clutch pedal, do you use a button for the clutch? How do you have the
wheel set up to shift?

Thanks!

Don

Use one of the buttons for the clutch, or choose automatic clutch in
the N4 options.

The shift buttons behind the wheel are excellent for shifting :)
Remember to lift off the throttle when shifting though, or your engine
will overrev too much.

By shift buttons behind the wheel do you mean the 6 buttons on the wheel
itself (2 vertical rows on each side of the center of the wheel)?
Thanks..

No, not anyone of the 6 on the front, but the two big ones where your
fingers are when you are holding the wheel with both hands. :)

They are numbered 7 and 8. 7 is for upshift, and 8 is for downshift
and can be easily set in N4 control options.
