GP2 - How to Adjust Fuel Level ?

by Wire » Sat, 08 Aug 1998 04:00:00

Hi all,
OK, start laughing all you want BUT...
I can't figure out how to adjust the fuel level while I'm jacked up in
the pits.
I got the game a couple of days ago.

Oh, sure I can get those blinking cursors on the blinking damm thing and
then hit
the blinking Spacebar which brings up the blinking 12 laps that appears
to be stock, but those darn plus and minus signs seem to be out of my
blinking reach.
AAARRGGHHHHH.

I've tried, as per the Manual, the A key, the Z key, the < & > keys and
nothing happens. Just those 12 measley fuel laps blinking away, taunting
me.
Plus key, Minus key, I've tried em ALL!

My controls are as follows:
Joystick, Gravis Blackhawk(4-button & throttle).
Steering is Horizontal Axis, Gas is button 1, brake is button 2.
Clutch/Selector is Spacebar.
Downgear is Alt key.

Anyone gotta witty answer for me?  That contains a solution? Easy to
decipher?

Thanks in advance,
Stuck on 12 laps,
Wire

ps: Just when you've stopped giggling, here's another question:
How do I go about changing tire compounds?
Yes, yes I can see the laps I've put on a set.
Is each set in the list "secretly' marked somehow?
What a ***er I am :-O

 <snip funny stuff we've all experienced :-)>

Strangely enough, you use the steering control - in your case the
joystick - jerk it to the right limit and the fuel goes up, go to the
left and it goes down

No compound changes are available. I think in the '94 season, all teams
were constrained to use the same tyres, including the same compound for
each particular race. I think the compound changed from race to race but
I'm not sure who decided what was to be used.

Have fun !

Ahaaaa! if you are using another steering device other than the
keyboard, the steering device will change the amount of fuel on board?

Just select the 12 laps then use your joystick to change the number of
laps worth of fuel.

Easy peesy.....
