GP2 player's grip level

Among people who use editors to patch the gp2.exe file, such as Steve
Young's fine editor gp2edit v1.60, there seems to be a common
misconception that changing the grip level for the computer drivers
changes the grip for the human driver when they drive that car.  This
just isn't true.  Player's grip remains constant.  Does anyone know how
to REALLY change the human's grip level?  I have seen some evidence that
this is possible, but I'm still not convinced one way or the other, and
I would really like to be able to do this.  I'm having a hell of a time
finding any definite info.  Thanks.

Go to the Game Settings and there is an option to change the Player's HP
in the bottom left hand corner.  Make sure that you tick the box which
includes the Game Settings in the carset before exporting the game
settings in the game settings menu and then exporting the carset into
the game afterwards.
