IC2 Grip levels are wrong.

I think Papyrus should issue a patch for IC2 the grip levels are just
not good enough.Surfers Paradise and Detroit are two examples, no matter
what car set-up you use (Iv'e tried dozens) the car still acts as if
you are driving on Ice.its enough just to point the car into the corners
let alone acelerating out of them.Yet the oppenents cars seem to wiz
around the outside.
The other thing is that in VGA it's very hard actualy seeing where the
corners are, this was no problem in IC1.
I would be interseted to know what other people think or if anyone can
come up with a good car set-up for Surfers Paradise.
If not I think I'll go back to IC1 untill GP2 comes out.

I agree.  You can not tell were the corners are and it is hard to find the
braking zones, at least for me.  I have a problem with Surfers Paradise as
well.  I would like to know what set up works well.

1) Don't drive into the corners so fast

2) Ease up on the brakes as you enter the corner to regain control

3) Play with the settings of shocks, wings and roll bars to find something comfortable.

4) Let the tyres warm up

5) Take less fuel while learning

The sim certainly isn't "on ice", I thought so at first, especially around Portland, Surfer's and
Mid-Ohio but now I'm very comfortable on all of them, Keep playing with the setup and practising
- understand the car.

Cheers!
John

If its any help i just load the "qual" car every time and take the
rear wing down to 6 degrees push the brake bias forward and away i
go!!
The brake zones are indeed crap, i actually do by counting the
distance between the corners as i could find no suitable brake markers

I love driving the cars with no rear end ie taking off all the rear
wing its the only way to get good enough top speed and still be able
to make some of the corners

I find the cars seem to slide for no reason, in a spin recovery
situation

and is it my imagination or did i see two gil de ferrans in the last
race!!!
Seriously at seca, i was chasing him through the cork***and i
looked at the telemetry and when i looking up there were two of the
***ers i saved the replay but when i went to look at it later he was
only in it once

Spoooookkkkyyyy
