I don't know about you, but GPL on my machine doesn't NEED a nocd patch...do
a full install (about 133 MB i think) and voila! no cd needed!

You probably have US version, which, I've heard, doesn't have copy
protection. My European/English version allows only multiplayer mode
without cd, all other modes require that the cd is in the cd-rom
drivee.

If I recall correctly this is only the case with the US version of the
game. The European versions require the CD to be in the drive, I believe.
