My guess is you're running GP2 under Windoze 95, am I right?
If you've got DOS, run it from there.
If you want to start it from Windoze, try this :
(Some of the namings I use for menu's, buttons, etc, might be slightly
different from the correct ones, but I'm using the Dutch W95-version,
so I don't have the English namings.)
1- right-click on the task-bar
2- choose the tab "Startmenu programs" (it might be called a bit
different in English, I'm using the Dutch version)
3- choose "Advanced"
4- In the left frame, go to the folder that has the GP2-link in it (this
will then show in the right frame).
5- Right-click on the GP2-link and select "properties".
6- Select the tab "Program" and then the button "Advanced".
7- Select the checkbox "MSDOS mode" (third from top).
Deselect the checkbox "Warn before swapping to DOS-mode". (otherwise y=
ou
will get a Warning-window before GP2 is started)
Select the radiobutton "Use current MS-DOS configuration".
8- Select the OK buttons you encounter and close the Explorer
(if you wonder about how you got to the explorer, almost everything
gets you there : "Startmenu programs", "My/this Computer", "Trashcan"=
,
etc. but only in slightly different modes.)
=46rom now on Windoze will be ended as soon as you start GP2, so it won't=
be in
the way of PC-performance. When you quit GP2, Windoze will start itself a=
gain.
Oh, and BTW : This has nothing to do with GP2 as is.
It's purely a Windoze 95 thing. This Win95 timing-shit happ=
ens to
any program.
Hope this helps,
