G'day,
I just read a review in an Australian mag of GP2. The writer stated that VGA was
very good, but SVGA is unbelievable. However, in SVGA on a P90 with textured
trackside objects and NOT much else you get an acceptable 19fps, while on a P133
you could have everything except Sky and track texture on in order to get the
same frame rate (19fps). Apparently, there are still road markings even without
the track texture on, so you still get a good feeling of speed. Turning on sky
OR track textures reduces the overall frame rate by about half!
Replays are the same as they were in the original F1GP (ie they are short ones).
It is suposedly more demanding to drive than the original but not quite as
demanding as Indycar 2. There's all manner of options to tune your car ad you
can make the settings symmetrical if you wish.
Sounds great (who needs clouds anyway).
