Doug E has stated that's false.

You clearly dont like the concept of RL, you dont like the West Brothers,
you dont like their business model, their pricing plans, their ideas,
website, screenshots, forum, cat, hell, you'd probably even hate the WR Polo
shirts.

We all know it - we're all sick of it - and we dont care.

You speak for all now, do you ?
I care that RL, if it ever comes into being, will be the ultimate "king has no clothes"
scenario.

If that's the case, I wonder how much they had to pay Warner Brothers for
the "Bugs Bunny" style interior graphics ?

But I do really like this thing so far :)

Why - you've already said you're not going to buy it. What possible interest
could you have in it?

I believe I said I will not buy it if it costs anywhere in the region they are talking
about, yes.. My interest is in racing sims, and this is supposedly going to be the all
time, greatest racing simulation ever created. So there you have it.. See the connection ?
Just because i may not be able to afford this luxury, doesn't mean i can't have any
interest, does it ?
It must be a real *** that there are people who actually think differently to you. How
do you cope with day to day tasks ?

The Wests are still working on the public beta. What's more, the $50
pricetag is something which was floated (it was stated as "probably", IIRC)
at the Goodwood meeting and, to the best of my knowledge, as yet
unconformed.

So you see the kind of emotion this prospective title stirs on both sides of
the argument. It's not pretty.

Oh, the way you were talking, it sounded like it was a concrete thing, not
something you heard from Bob who Larry heard it from his sister Mary Lou.

Just remember, don't get played for a sucker in this whole WB deal (ala
WSC).

Sorry Tim, but I don't get this idea of people assuming the Wests are in
some way out to con the simracing community as, effectively, they'd be
digging their own grave as sim developers.

If the beta was a rip off, because of the way we're organised, they'd be
lucky to get $500 before someone cried foul loud enough to be heard around
the world.

I haven't seen any sim they've developed.
Have you?

Just the way they released all this pretty artowrk for WSC, and for two
years there was nothing more than press releases hyping up this
revolutionary sim that was going to be the end all be all of driving
simulations.  Then, they supposedly sell it off to corporate and that that
engine isn't going to be used for an upcoming release by that company.

Now they are going to start from scratch and develop the same type of sim
with a different engine?  That would be quite the achievement, especially
given their track record of releasing absolutely nothing to date.  And their
supposed business model of releasing an Alpha beta copy for capital to ,
well, actually I don't know why since they didn't need any money for WSC.
None of their excuses make any sense.  To date they are all talk and no
walk, yet people seem to believe the gospel of the West Brothers.

Just my opinions from what I have followed with the West Brothers.

A rather mal-founded opinion as many of your facts are very wrong.

I'm not going to waste my time explaining them. I'm sick of redTed and
others negative attitudes
