NR2003 & Force Feedback

What is the correct way to setup force feedback with NR2003 and Gpl? I
have a P4 2.66Ghz/512MB with a logitech Driving force wheel connected
through the USB port and I get massive oscilations when driving,
especially road courses. Papyrus Raceway Park is partically bad. I
have tried all kinds of settings and the only thing that I have found
that works is to turn off force feedback. All games besides Papyrus's
work fine.

Thanks

I'm somewhat reluctant to say this, but you might want to try some steering
assist in NR 2003, and if that doesn't do it, try enabling stability
control.

increase the damping setting, one of its primary uses is to combat oscillations  IIRC...

I finally solved this annoying problem, which bothered me to no end
(I replaced my SW with the Red Momo to get a tighter dead zone,
but the oscillations were killing me).  After much trial and error:

Logitech NR2003 settings (using the Profiler):
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Effects Strength: 90% (at higher I get the oscillations)

Other three set to Zero (NR doesn't support them, but check the
Centering Spring box anyway)

Steering Wheel

55% Sensitivity (can bump this up so lifting a bit doesn't completely
        pork your speed)

Dead Zone 0%, Range 100%

In NR2003:
------------------
FF Strength: 55% (alter to suit taste)

Damping 20% (this was the key I think as other posters have said)

Latency 0%

Steering Assist 0%

Linearity 75% (again a matter of taste)

Hope this helps.

To reduce the oscillations:
- click on "Start" and go on "Control Panel". Then click on "Game
Controllers". Select the Logitech steering wheel and click on
"Properties". Then click on "Settings". Now click on "Enable Centering
Spring...". This will play a centering spring on top of the game's
force and will have the effect of tonong down the the oscillations.
- If that isn't good enough you can also reduce the "Overall effects
strength" until the oscillations are low enough to be acceptable.

Hope this helps...
