GPL uses a different system to rate the AI than other Papyrus sims, so the
only way to adjust it is to play with the INI files. Luckily, Alison Hine
has a fantastic site with downloadable "slower" AI (add 2-3 seconds a lap
out of the box). It is also really easy to adjust. Once you install her
files, you change a setting in an INI file, which is roughly a percentage of
the AI's speed (i.e. 1.00=100%, and 1.15=115% or 15% slower).

Tell me about it. I had watched "Grand Prix" a few days before I got it,
and IMMEDIATELY recognized Spa, and think I saw (in a replay) the place in
Mexico where Pete Aron (Garner) spun, and was forced to watch the film of it
with his boss. It is amazing, and very commendable for Papyrus to show this
kind of improvement in you-are-there realism (not just physics) from the
likes of NASCAR and IndyCar Racing (the first). I was amazed when I first
got ICR1, because it was one of my first games which featured texture
mapping. Ha!
P.S. - I exited GPL this afternoon (why?), and started a race in NFS3, and
was like "what the hell is THIS?!"
