I have the Demo, I think its GREAT.
I just love spinning 360 degrees through the air while going sideways,
and landing on another cars roof!
Dont you?

Sure, that's fun for a while... Wait until you want to try and win a
race.  Forget about it.

The game is very choppy on my 100Mhz Pentium (with 2M Millennium
card), and the joystick has trouble calibrating (DOS version-- I can't
run the windows version because it's like a slide show).

Also, the other cars are inhumanly fast and accurate, in my opinion.
I'd be suprised to hear if anyone has actually won a race.  If they
have, they probably have a killer system-- 3D card, 200Mhz PPro, etc.

Sigh...

Forget the demo - I had the real game --- and took it back.  I sucked.
DD1 is much better ...  DD2 cars are too hard to control, the other cars
are too fast and the sound sucks...

By harder to control I think you mean MORE REALISTIC.  DD1 had very UNrealistic
handling.  The made it more like REAL LIFE and now you have to master the
technique of BRAKING just before entering a turn to force a fishtail.  Its very
cool when you finally get it to work.  I just won the WRECKIN RACING tournament
and am starting a REGULAR RACE one.  I'm placing in the top 5 most of the races
but finding it almost impossible to WIN 1st place.  I may have to resort to
causing some wrecks on the next to final lap to hopefully stop the lead cars -
or at least slow them down.

you smoking, man? DD1 is 100 times better than dd2. I'm talking gameplay..
yes the cars didn't do flipping and stuff but it was waaaayyy better than
dd2. The only part I like about dd2 is jumping hills on the race track. It
doesn't matter if I'm two laps down I'll die for my back flip. For that
alone, I'm glad I bought dd2.. the rest is puke.
