SL->I just got indycar Racing, and I admit that my GPF1 will make a nice LONG
SL->trip in it's box. Indycar is MUCH better, in terms of enjoyment.
SL->I have a couple of questions:
Great game, ain't it? (Just wait for IndyCar II, that'll be a good game)
SL->1)During the pace lap, sometimes my engine bolocks at 100 (which is
SL->normal), but sometimes it just doesn't work (I slow down for 20 seconds,
SL->that my engine starts again.) WHY? I dont get the strategy is this lap (I
SL->am no racing expert). How can I know how many meter/feets until the pace
SL->car dissapear? Or do I have to know the track by heart?
I guess thats just something that happens. The best way I've found to
overcome this is: if your on the pole (or actually, it will work in any other
position), once you get to turn 3, slow WAAAAAYYY down (about 30 mph), then
going into 4, punch the accelator. If you time it right, you should get a
half decent start. This is the best way I've found.
SL->2)The pit stops kills me....How can you do a 15 seconds pit stops with
SL->menus like that? Is there any special keys?
Uh, if you know the pattern to use everytime, its a sinch. When the menu
comes up, with enter, up arrow 'till it says 40 gallons, then hit enter till
the menu disappears. That'll fill your tank up, and change all the tires.
SL->3> I have the CD version, and I have something like 15 tracks. But where
SL->is Indianapolis 500? Or does it have another name?
Ya, I got the CD version too. The normal version of the game comes with 8
tracks. But the CD version also comes with a 7-track expansion pack.
Indy is on another one of those, so if you want that race, expect to pay $20-
$40 for it. BTW, it also comes with a paintcar utility to design your own
cars.
