I was installing the NFS Porsche demo and it asked for DirectX 7a (I
have DirectX 7).  The thing is GPL is running pretty well with my STB16
TNT card.  Has anyone experienced any problems upgrading?  I don't know
how easy it would be to go back to 7 if I had to.  -Keith

Games _should_ run better with DX7a, but once you install it, you can't go
back, at least not easily. If the NFS demo requires 7a, then it's a sign of
things to come. Sooner or later, you'll be installing it.

DirectX 7.0a is almost identical to DirectX 7.0. Version 7.0a only has some
better support for Force Feedback wheels. If 7.0 is running fine on your
system then 7.0a should not give any problems...

Here is a untility that allows you to uninstall DirectX so you can install
another version if you want to.  Takes about 2 minutes to complete
