GPL: DIRECTX 6 problems??

I just bought European Air War but am afraid to install it as it wants
to upgrade my machine from DIRECTX 5 to DIRECTX 6. I use Red Baron II,
F-15, and Grand Prix Legends alot and do not want problems... Is there
conflicts with these programs and DIRECTX 6 or can I go ahead and get
into EAW???

I have direct X6 and it works fine, except for GPL with a M3D 2 card you
will need to copy the file Glide2x.dll from your C:\Windows\System\ folder
(or get it from the V2 reference drivers from 3dfx) and then paste it to the
GPL folder C:\Sierra\GPL\ . Then you should be able to install DirectX6 and
use it with GPL.

dx6 is totally compatible with gpl, been running them together for 6
months.

Only if you are not using any V2 DX6 drivers. Install MS DX6 and then the V2
DX6 drivers, but then make sure you have the old 2.53 Glide2x.dll in your
GPL folder. Everything will then be OK.
