F1 Challenge - Mechanical failures

Where is the .gdb file that you are looking at? Ive looked and the only one
I can find is that related to all the seasons which doesnt mention anything
about mechanical failures only race settings like qualifying laps, points
for finishing etc. I cant see anything relating to mechanical failures at
all. Which is a great shame because I would really like to be able to look
into the mechanical failures bit of the game in more detail. Has anyone else
expereienced any other failures except for fuel, brakes, dnf, accident,
suspension, engine, clutch or electronics? Ive yet to see a hydraulics
failure for example which is surprising considering how often the hydraulics
fail in Formula 1! Ive also yet to see a spun off but I suppose that could
be classed as a generic 'dnf'.

One neat thing Ive noticed in a race was a Sauber and  Minardi stalling on
the start due to a failure but then getting going after a few minutes.
Passed me after I crashed which is typical in many races lately!

With all this racing Ive yet to experience a proper mechanical failure
myself other than suspension which is invariably caused by me crashing. Its
neat how hitting cars can enhance their chances of failure though - I like
that. Perhaps I should try driving a Bar car instead of my McLaren and I
might experience more failures! Although watching failures in other cars is
far more enjoyable. Experiencing a stall on the starting grid must be the
most frustrating thing in the world!! lol! Especially after all that
qualifying and testing. Its actually amazing when you look at the statistics
how many cars fail to finish a race - in fact youre doing well if you are
getting 50% finishes. God that must be expensive!

There are .gdb files in each track directory now also.  This was done to
make it easier to add tracks to the game.  So there are season .gdb files
that hold the data that concerns the entire season and there are individual
track .gdb files that hold the entry list, pit strategy, driver incidents,
and the like.
