Driver Demo Hacks??

An earlier post gave this for editing the demo.

Its great, but I still cant get the car to go over 85mph, and you can go full speed in the middle between the lanes without cars
moving in your way like MM.

The default car is a bit on the slow side. OTOH, my '78 Olds Delta 88
had a speedometer that did not display more than 80 mph either. I
never tried to see if it could actually go faster. ;) Try the two new
cars in the official demo - supposedly an early T-Bird and a Ferrari
or Alfa (hard to tell, the cars don't look too convincing). They go
over 160 mph. :)

As for the lane changing: I hope this is going to be corrected in the
final version. In the original, unofficial demo, cars would not change
lanes on the freeway *to* downtown Miami, but would change lanes all
the time when going in the other direction. I would prefer it if
*some* cars *sometimes* were changing lanes, not all or none.

The demo itself (official or unofficial) does not allow you to change
cars. And it has this annying 60 second limit. You can change both
these parameters and a lot more by editing the mission661.dms file in
the scripts\mission subdirectory. For a different car, just change the
number after "PlayerCarType" to something else.

A more comfortable approach is to download the Driver Missions
configurator from http://www.3dracing.net/.

The official demo can be found following the links under
http://Driver.gtgames.com/home.html.
