I'm using a Soundblaster Live! that I got from necx for $79, and no
problems at all. It has a good clean analog gameport.

one of the best upgrades i ever made was , getting a monster sound m80,
doesn't do any dos stuff, but i don't either,
accelerates game port, sound,  and on pci bus,       PCI gameport !

made everything on the game port, much faster, and more precise
i'm so very happy
