NR1999 and Las Vegas - Help Please!

Hi,

Can someone please help me?  I can't find a good setup for vegas at all on
NR199 - anyone have some tips or a setup they can share?  BTW my best
qualifying time is about 165 right now.

Thanks much!
Craig

Now that's one thing I never liked about the game: the ability some
people have to do unrealistic speeds with some setups. What's the track
record at Michigan? I'm sure it's not 188 mph (more like 186). I bet
that you can do more than a lap at 188 too. That's why I always
preferred to race in fixed setup leagues on TEN... but I digress.

Philster,
I'm doing a realistic update for the AI for N99.  Each track will run very
close to the WC track record speeds for the best N99 drivers.  The lines will
be more realistic will much closer racing.  The restarts will also be smooth
with little to no slowing.

The unrealistic part of the N1/N2/N3 physics engine isn't the speeds,
since Burton did qualify at 188 last week, it's the fact that you can
do 188's lap after lap without melting the tires and burning up the
motor. It really seems as though the faster you get through the turns,
the better your tire wear will be.

The other thing is that if the real NASCAR drivers tried to run a
Michigan race with a 40* spoiler they would be spinning in circles
after the tires warmed up. In the sim we use a 40* spoiler at any track
with even the smallest amount of banking. I believe this is because the
physics engine was originally designed for Indy car, and doesn't
properly account for the increased ride height and/or the weight of a
Winston Cup car. N2 is like driving GPL with low-rider setups in terms
of realism.

I downloaded what track updates you have finished so far.  While I haven't
installed them yet, I hope they do what you advertise.  Thanks in advance for
expending what appears to be a lot of effort to improve our game.
