Superbike 2001 controls - how?

I just bought the game, but I can't get it to work with my TSW2mod(split axis).
It shows the down arrow for both accel and brake.  I can't get the accelerator
to change to the up arrow.  What setting did I miss?

Not sure, Eldred, but my MSFF works well with split axis. Not really needed
in this game, I reckon, anyway, maybe combine the axes for the purposes?

That's how it appears with my setup of an MS Freestyle Pro as controller #1
and my CH Pedals + joystick as controller #2.  I get the same arrows for the
two pedals configured with split axes.  In the sim they work correctly.

Eldred,

I just bought the game last week.

Regarding your question, I belive that I had to "play" with the pedals a few times
from within the game's calibration screen, before they were working right.  That
is, press down on them SLOWLY, and perhaps only halfway, until the motion in the
pedal is detected.  When I just stomped on them, I think that I had the same
problem that you describe.  However, I still have another, related problem:

Using my TSW peds (split axis) on ID 1 and LWFF on ID 2, I can't get FF.  Switching
the 2 ID's between the 2 controllers makes no difference either.  This setup worked
fine (including FF) on SuperBike 2000.  Can anyone help?

Hmm...strange.  It didn't work when I first started the game.  I couldn't
accelerate.  So, I went into the settings screen and tried to configure my
controls.  When every press of the gas pedal resulted in a down arrow(which was
already there), I assumed it wouldn't work.  I never went BACK to the track
after that...  I'll try it when I get home from work, thanks.

That would suck to have to re-configure for one game.  Well, two - I haven't
gotten it to work with GP3 either, so I haven't race it since I bought it... :(
