Viper Racing only uses MS Force Feedback?

I just got word from force-1.com that Viper only works with MS FF.

I gotta ask why?

All these cool FF wheels and joysticks coming out and Viper will only
work with Microsofts devices? Man I hope not.

I will say that my new Logitech USB Wingman Force does not work with
either Viper demo.
