The parade lap is junk anyway.  You can't even drive your car, so I turn it off.
No more crashing :-)

Jason.

Yep, Spain AI was slow, but that is most certainly not the case at all
circuits.  Have you tried winning at 100% at Nurburgring?  hmmm......

Edit your xxx.plr file. But don't bother really as it makes the graphics
look unrealistic - far too much smoothing.

No, I just run the tracks before the real race so haven't done the
Nurburgring yet, Imola seemed a bit tougher to beat but still beatable. I
was running at 120%.

BZZZT!  Wrong answer, but thanks for playing...
Yes, I do own GPL.  I also own SCGT, Viper Racing, Nascar 1,2,& 3, and many
others.  Don't judge me.  No, I haven't played the game(F1 2000) yet.  That's
why I'm asking questions about it - to decide if it's even worth buying...

Never argue with an idiot.  He brings you down to his level, then beats you

And even to... Prost on a (wet) Imola somewhere at the end of the 80's.

Can anyone tell me where I find the option to disable v-sync when using a
TNT2 card??
Can't seem to find anything in the display properties at all.

Also, are TNT2 overclockable?? Again I am unable to find any options to
enable this. Can it only be done via a 3rd party program and if so where
can I get such a thing.

Many thanks

Well, if you install the nVidia Detonator TNT2 3.xx series of drivers (I'm
assuming you're running on Win98), then you can do all that within the
driver properties window. You can download the drivers from
www.reactorcritical.com. I'm using 3.77. I've heard that the 5.xx series
don't work reliably. One thing you must do, though, is add a line to your
registry, under \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\NVIDIA
Corporation\Global\NVTweak - add a DWORD called CoolBits and set it to 3.
This will enable advanced options in the driver properties window, including
VSync for Direct3D, specifically under the Direct3D Settings tab, then More
Direct3D..., then the Disable vertical sync checkbox. Also, you can
overclock your card under the Hardware Options tab. Most non-Ultra cards
can't be overclocked much past the Ultra spec 150/183 frequencies (and still
work for longer than a few minutes). I strongly recommend putting a cooling
fan on top of it if you're doing this. The TNT2 chip can get extremely hot.
You should notice a signifcant improvement in framerates, though.

Many thanks...
I'll try these tips out.
