Allison's site has some good information, written by Steve Blankenship, on
the subject of the wiring swap.

Go to: Help/Controllers/Readers Reports
To use the pedals in the game port or on a game card and the wheel in the
USB port, you set them up in Windows exactly as you have suggested, as two
seperate controllers. There is a particular order which you must use for GPL
to recognize the pedals, I've never used them this way, so I'm afraid I'm
not much help there. Not all sims will recognize two controllers, so you
will still need the stock pedals for those times. You also need to leave the
stock pedals connected to the wheel, because it is the power source for the
wheel. This is why I rewired my pedals right away, so I wouldn't have to
swap pedals when I wanted to run SCGT or CMR and I wouldn't be stuck with
two sets of pedals under the desk.

Don,
I've seen numerous posts on this topic, but apart from pulling the
wiring out of the Logi pedals, is it possible to connect the wheel to the
USB port and the pedals to the game port?
If so, how do you set up the "game controllers" panel? Do you add another
joystick to get the pedals to work. Any details would be most appreciated.
Cheers...
Phillip..
