There is a GP2  Mount Panarama track that is around.
It was  quite good to race on.

I gives a better understanding of what the track's like than all the TV
footage I've watched over the years.

I don't know where to contact the author but I can post it here if that's
allowed.     If it's not then I can email it to you.

The same guy's also done Phillip Island, Sandown and the Melbourne GP
circuit.

From the little I've seen on tv it looks like one of the great tracks of the
world. I would be very interested in trying it.  If you could find the url, or
post it to alt.binaries.simulators.autos, and then let us know, it would be
much appreciated. Thanks.

OK, so what would you think the outcome would be if we asked EVERY american citizen what
Indianapolis was, what's the general layout of the track, and some history of the track or
great races there, compared to asking every Australian about Bathurst?? Maybe that would be a
better comparision!!

Only problem is that the track was very poorly put together. (Assuming
you dl'd the same one that I did). When I drove the track, I thought it
seemed very odd, and then I loaded it into Paul Hoad's track editor,
and realised that it was completely off. Missed out about 3 or 4
corners, all the elevation changes, and also the "driving on the
mountain" scenery ie. it was like driving on a track in a paddock.

The sandown track was very well done, very close to the real thing, but
the Bathurst track needed some adjusting to give justice to the real
deal. I'd be interested in trying your one out, to compare with the old
one that I had. It wasn't too bad to race on, actually, just that it
didn't resemble Bathurst!!

BTW, a rather incredible experience would be the Bathurst and GPL
combo!! Dealing with the Dipper would have to seriously test the best
of them. Not to mention the sweeper before Caltex Chase....

I would be good for some of us Europeans as well.  Aussie V8's are, in my
opinion, the best tourers in the world.

It certainly has, the only other Australian circuits most non-Oz people
could name are Melbourne and Philip Island because of current F1 races.
