Hi to all SimRacers,

I just want here to start a thread on your favorite music in a racing
Simulation game.  I don't talk about Wipeout and NeedForSpeed :( .  I
think about N1 music on the Cd, etc.

Here's my choices:

1.     Nascar1 (Music track #2 it rocks!)
2.     Indianapolis:The Simulation (when the game starts)
3.     Indycar Racing 2 (not so bad)
last.  GrandPrix 2 (Is there something good in this game?!)

Good race at the Brickyard,

SPEED- Cars, WC, BGN, Trucks, IROC, utilities and more...

You can't vote for NFS!? I love that NFS2 music! (ba dum ba dum ba dum ba
dum bah dah...)

Here's my ballot:

1. Nascar2 (opening video)
2. ICR1 (You have to turn your speakers WAY up to hear it but it's cool)
3. Test Drive: Off Road (game's ***but music is cool)

I like the background music to the opening of Nascar 2...I wish I could have
that playing while I drive.

Though I76 isn't exactly a racing sim, the music is by FAR the best music
ever heard in any game.

You have a point here.  How did I forget it.  GROOVY!FUNKY!AWESOME!
I should be in number 2 after Nascar1, witch I think was one of the
first game to put real music in their CD.  I don't mean *.wav but real
audio-CD track on it.  AFAIK, I don't remember another game before it.
But the best of all is X-wing vs Tie-Fighter at 100%.  It's my choice.

Am I missing something here?  ICR2 doesn't have in game music except when
you start the game.  Is that what you meant?  If there is a way of getting
in game music can you please let me know.

Yup, no rain, no dancing!  They just zapped all the fun out of GP2! :)

P.S. Does anyone know who the heck George Carlin is?  I just found his
quote on someone's web page and sort of liked it!

On the GPM1 CD is a song, I believe it's called "Majestic" which is pretty
brilliant. As far as I know only the first five seconds of it are featured
in the game (when some guy is cheking the top-three cars after a race),
but the entire song is over three minutes of mind-boggling guitar work.

George is the great 20th century philosopher that once said (sorry if my
quote is not 100% accurate) "There are two kinds of drivers on the road,
Aholes and Idiots. Anyone driving slower than me is an idiot and anyone
driving faster than me is an Ahole!"

Hate to show my age here, but George Carlin is a comedian.  He had
his greatest success in the '70's with the "7 words you can't say
on television" bit.
