I'm a victim of the "Incorrect Version" problem on Hawaii so here's my story
just to save someone else some time. I can get in all the way to the
scheduler, it even brings up the races and the chat, then says "Incorrect
Version" and bounces me out.

I've been talking with the very helpful Rick Baker at the tech support
number in guide.txt and it is some sort of memory problem. Sometimes it
is helped by freeing up as much conventional RAM as possible. But I tried
it with up to 625K free. Still got the message.

I realize this is early beta software so this is not too surprising and
Rick said that it is a high priority fix so maybe in a week or two I can race.

Actually this is just a *** to keep me from kicking ***at the
expense of all of you having lots of fun right now on Hawaii. I'm just so
mad that I'm practicing the things I'm learning in Dale Earnhardt's new
book, "Paint Swapping for Fun and Profit" until the day I can get on.

I've encountered this a few times.  One thing that I noticed is that it will
*always* happen after leaving windows (3.1).  So, after I do a session in
Winblows, I have to reboot for eterm to work.  I've also had it happen to me
online after winning a race (wasn't much of a race 6 guys and 3 were knocked
out during the first caution when the leader attempted to laps the
backmarkers).  I go and exit, get the victory picture then was promptly
punted off of Hawaii.  I don't know what (if anything) is the solution to
that one.
