T2 Split axis help!!

by Me » Thu, 17 Sep 1998 04:00:00

Hi. I've followed instructions on howto split the T2 pedal axis, but i cant
seem to get it to work. This is what ive done.
1) found 1 of the 2 spare wires in the wheel unit, connected, sealed, and
insulated a long wire (wire from an old joystick cable) that runs to the
pedals
2) rewired the pots. This is my configuration as viewed from the side

GAS-POT: "Big" black wire attached to the pot-housing should be left alone.

TOP CONNECTOR: WHITE "EXCISTING" WIRE

MIDDLE CONNETOR: YELLOW WIRE (THE OTHER END OF THIS WIRE SHOULD ALSO BE
CONNECTED TO THE MIDDLE CONNECTOR ON THE BRAKE POT!!)

BOTTOM CONNECTOR: NOTHING!!

BRAKE-POT:

TOP CONNECTOR: THE OTHER END OF NEW WIRE THAT YOU'VE ATTACHED TO THE FREE
WIRE INSIDE THE WHEEL-UNIT!

MIDDLE CONNECTOR: RED WIRE **AND** YELLOW WIRE (FROM THE MIDDLE CONNECTOR ON
THE GAS-POT)

BOTTOM CONNECTOR: NOTHING!!!

Is this correct? Can somebody help out here, it would be so much
appreciated. Also there was a wire running from the top of the gas pot to
the middle one. Like that there was no throttle/brake, but when i cut it i
got my throttle, but no brake. Im using an acm gamecard, win98, awe32,
233mmx, 32meg ram bla bla bla.

Greets,
