With all of the panic over N3 you may have missed the reports about TAR.
The report at Sim Racing Online makes this sound like the sim of the
year for us ***s. Stepping up to GPL's level.
The bad news is that it may not get released! Business BS ruining our
day for sure, damn suits.
Read the report in the E3 news at   http://www.racesimcentral.net/

John, you are right... Trans Am not making the light of day REALLY stinks. I
am seriously bummed by this.

But what do you suggest we do? We can *** and whine.... but will that do
any good? I am all for constructive ways to try and get this sim out.

Lets all pitch in and buy the company... Maybe buy the rights to the
game... Just a suggestion.

I hope that if they do release it it will come with the 1982 Trans Am,
so that I can drive KITT - just like in Knight Rider - to my hearts
content!

Griffin,

Trans-Am in this case refers to the Trans-Am racing series for tube framed
sedans and pony cars, not the GM F-Body cars with the Screaming Chicken decal
on the hood ;-)

Remember Don,   he probably wasn't born then...     when REAL pony
cars ruled -  not pimped-up over-weight marketing-to-the masses
disasters -

It was a great series -  the 2.5 liter class was the playground of
Datsun 510's, Alfa GTAs and so forth

  Wrong Don:

TA cars of that vintage ONLY used FACTORY bodied (NO TUBE FRAMES) cars.  The
cars seams were welded to strengthen them and roll bars were added along with
some other strengthening tubes.  If I remember correctly when they first started
the TA series they even had to have FULL interiors<G>.

True, I was thinking of todays Trans-Am cars.

Remember all the flack Penske got for acid dipping the Camaro that Donahue
drove? The team had to post guards around the car so no one would lean on it
and dent the fragile bodywork.

If you want to drive Kitt,  just hop over to the Zone and play Age of
Empires.  Some bozo there
will enable the cheats and you can drive a black Trans Am to your heart's
content,  all over those
poor foot soldiers.

Absolutely NOT.   There are about a gazillion cheat codes for
AoE..  Including laser firing space snipers that can kill any object
anywhere on the map.   Thats why I abhore cheat codes....

I assume from your comments that you are talking about the modern
versions of the Mustang, Camaro, Trans Am, etc. I can guarantee you

with me behind the wheel), outhandle, and outbrake 95% of the
"musclecars" from the 60s and 70s. Overweight? My Formula weighs about
3400 lbs...compare that to a '69 TA and see what you find. Marketing
to the masses? In 1998, there were 2,123 Formulas and 12,046 Trans Ams
sold to the public. That is hardly marketing to the masses. Get your
facts straight before you go bangin on the keyboard.
