Logitech and Act Labs both have USB port capability.  And it SHOULD say on
the box's specs if it has USB support.  If it doesn't say, good bet is to
assume it doesn't.

I'm not sure what you mean by funtions. No gearshift, it uses paddles
which are great in location and feel. Has four buttons on the wheel.
The pedals IMHO are hideous but I wired them up to my other pedals and
that setup is great. I got my Logitech Wingman FFB for $110 and I'm
sure it's a bit cheaper other places so it didn't mind chuckin' the
pedals at that price.

It has 4 buttons and 2 paddle shifters.

I happen to like the pedals stock (no mods). And for GPL, SCGT and
F1RS the wheel is awesome. It even works in IndyCar Racing 2!

It will also do seperate brake/gas axis...

If you have USB this one is certainly worth looking at. I'm very
satisfied and recently sold my old trusty T2.

Force Feedback wheels, i.e. V4 - USB?

The time has finally come for me to make a move into the new world of
Force Feedback controllers, especially with the new GPL patch enabling
FF.

I went into Curry's today and saw a number of force feedback wheels
there. One particular favourite of mine was the "V4 Force Feedback
Steering Wheel".

It had a many buttons, gear shift and pedals.

Has anybody here used this FF wheel, and if so what were there
impressions on it? How strong is the FF?

Second question, does this wheel, or any other FF wheels, use a USB
port? I really don't want to buy an FF wheel which doesn't use USB, as
I would be limited to only one of my computers.

The V4 cost around 80..

Please let me know what you think of all this...

Have a look at http://www.gamecenter.com/Hardware/Roundup/Wheels/

You'll find that the V4 is not a particularily good force feedback
wheel. I've got my eye on the ACT Labs Force RS Racing System
(http://www.gamecenter.com/Hardware/Roundup/Wheels/ss01a.html)
instead.
