drivers that people have had success with. Instead they've used the
older 1.0.3 drivers (note the missing 'b').

Wow, you obviously don't know of Thom_J at all do you? He is a lot more
insightful around here than your post was. If he were you or I, yes he could
pull his ribbon cable off his RAID connector and plug it into is plain IDE
connector and likely be done with the problem forever, but the guy has
confessed he is uncomfortable doing this. I undertand this, not everyone is
as computer literate as *me* hehe, but don't rant on him just because he is
frustrated. Geeze. He hasn't been ranting at YOU has he, No, it has been
Papy and his RAID controller people.
Thom, hopefully there will be a fix for the controller issue soon so you can
go back to helping folks instead of getting flamed...I have a RAID board
with the HPT370 controller too, I just don't use the RAID side and all is
well, a fix should not be that hard if someone would just do it and get it
out to the public.

I would bet that Papyrus has no say in the matter. Most likely Sierra
has signed a contract with Sony to copy-protect all it's titles. I have to
say tho...that including a cp update in a patch is a new one for me....never
heard of it before....
Also...while I don't condone Piracy...a hack is already available to
bypass the XP registration...less than two weeks after the official release.
Further proof that Copy Protection does NOT prevent piracy...

Indeed, copy protections are TOTALLY useless, and it's ridiculous to
use a copy protection which does not work one many systems.
The only one ending up with problems now is the paying customer, since
the cracked version has this copy protection nicely removed.
The only way to urge people to buy their games is to use serial
numbers which are needed for online play. First it's very hard to
crack a system like that, secondly the cracking groups don't even
bother with that.
Another reason for focussing on multiplayer quality.
Andre
Yea, good. So where is it?

On second thoughts...I just read that the Bearshare software has Adware in
it. Think I'll pass, thx anyway.

OK, I'll try it then. Thx.
