I don't see any problem either.  As a matter of fact I have been able to run my
Raedon AIW using OpenGL without locking up the game for the first time
apparently due to the patch.  Hey Willard,  How about some specifics?  In all
likelyhood someone in here can solve your problem cause it is probably just
that....YOUR problem.  Lots of help in here though if you want to ask instead
of spouting off.

Some people are having problems with the new SecuRom protection that Sony
added to the latest patch

Since ive installed this patch ive had nothing but trouble.. I cant even get
the game started anymore:(
its got something to do with raid boards,and lack of testing and
communication....after installing it 10 times and a fresh format of my HD i
gave up:((
shame coz i liked N4 and was just getting used to it:))

so come on Papy sort this out fast:))

daz, a couple of days ago in another thread in this NG someone said that on
some systems, the patch installer by accident abbreviates long filenames?
I.e., for example, N4mai~1.dll becomes N4mainlibrary.dll. N4 can then not
find the file anymore.

It's been mentioned somewhere here on RAS in the last couple of days.

Ditto Here Too! & NO!! Help From Papy or Sierra! And No! replies to
my emails!!! I never thought this would happen but it has & my opinion
of both Papy & Sierra has gone down considerably! Allegedly mine has
to do with the 'HighPoint' junk or something but nothing has been done
about it and as stated in my prior posts a week ago the 1.3patch eats it!
I never had a***' of problems with 1.1 & I have not changed anything
since, So why in the H*** wont 1.3 work? Really Stupid IMO!!

or tried to give me any imput to find a solution or try to resolve this
mess!!

Sony and HighPoint are aware of the problem and are working on a
solution.

As I have said, Sony and HighPoint are aware of the problems with HTP370
controllers and are working together to on a solution.

Sorry, but I don't use my personal email to answer tech support
questions.  However as I stated in several replies to your posts here in
R.A.S, some people have had success installing older drivers for the
HTP370, and even tried to walk you through that process last Sunday
afternoon (see the NASCAR4 1.3 patch problems with HTP370 RAID
controllers thread).  Unfortunately that didn't seem to work for you, so
I suggested you wait for an official solution from Sony and/or
HighPoint.

        Gee, we broke your game.  But we already have your money so
nya-nya-nya.  Real nice.  Remind me, if I get N4, to warez it.

The patch uses an updated version of Sony's SecuROM protection, which
has since been found to have problems on some systems with HTP370 RAID
controllers.  Sony and HighPoint are both aware of the problem, and are
working together on a solution.  Its unknown at the time whether it will
be a driver update for the HTP370, or an update to the SecuROM
protection, or perhaps even both.

I'm not sure what address you might be using, but there is no email at
Papy for tech support.  All such issues and concerns should be directed
to Sierra instead.
