Just purchased GPL and have the Andretti Racing wheel setup.  Is there another
reaasonably priced wheel which will give more precise steering?  Thanks.

The Andretti wheel is about as good as they come, especially for precise
steering. The next step would be a FF wheel, the the steering won't be any
more precise. Or, if you've got a few hundred to  spend, there are  some
real nice wheels that may be more precise than the Andretti.

If you have $500 to spend, a high tolerance for excuses, and 6 months to
kill while waiting for delivery, then I'd recommend the SRC wheel.  It can
be found at http://www.mindspring.com/~srcwheel

How do you define "reasonably priced"? $3000 wouldn't fit that
description for me, especially with no FF.

Where does this $3000 come from? Hypers start at $767US/$1095Cdn.  I did
qualify by stating the Ultimate.  Reasonably priced is different for each of
us.  People are willing to pay more if they perceive the value.  Let him
judge.

Forget the options, the base price of the Historic model you
recommended to a guy looking for a "reasonably priced" steering wheel
is $2,657.00 plus whatever it costs to ship one of those monsters.

That's closer to $3000 than it is $767, and closer to insane than
reasonable in my opinion.

Tracey,

One of my earlier posts stated: I did qualify by stating the Ultimate.
Reasonably priced is different for each of us.  People are willing to pay
more if they perceive the value.  Let him judge.

I thank people with intelligent comments so I won't thank you.  End of
conversation. Period.

I keep reading about the Hypersimulator and it's price tag. What I
really want to know is who has one, and are you married ? And if so, how did
you get it past your wife ?

I have one since three years and it is just great. I bought a pre cut
kit so the assembeling and painting had to be done by myself. The charge
was about DM 2.500,- if I remember right. Les than you have to pay for a
fast PC and it definately last much longer. How I get it past my wife? I
told her I have bought one. Meanwhile its the favourite and one of the
most comfortable chairs in my house :-))

Dang, and I was ***ing about spending 230 bucks on a TSW2 :)
I guess it's all relative, to me I just can't justify spending thousands of
dollars on a controller.
I will however, soon, be adding the wiring kit and buttons to my TSW2 :)
