The Ai uses a very special line at Talladega(v1.2.0.1),they ride against the
wall(especially in the first corner).Someone else seen this?
I did a 20% race,in which I started last ,by the second lap I was allready
in 21 because allmost all of the cars on the outside line ran against the
wall and had no speed.
There was also a wreck on lap 1 and a caution was out,all the cars came in
on lap 2 except the 17 and me,this for a 38 lap race?!

I've seen some strange things happen with the AI,but thos tops it!!!

Was this in Cup, BGN, or CTS?

It was a cup race.
Yesterday I did another 20% race.Qualified 40th and in happy hour I was
21st.
Start of race was again the same:keeping the inside of the track and after 1
lap I was 16th!!!
At the end of lap two I was in first!!!Caution came out and on the restart I
was way ahead of the AI.On lap 4 two cars passed and there was another
caution. On the next restart I was again flying into first position way ahead
of the field, after 2 laps again a caution.......
To make it a little bit shorter:After 12 laps we had 4 caution and never got
up to racing speed.Tired of riding with  the pacecar I cancelled the race.
What I noticed:
When the first caution came out again all the cars came into the pits!!!The
next cautions they didn't go into the pits.
The pitspeed is also a little bit strange:
"Keep it under 70 or under 8000 Rpm" was the comment coming onto
pitroad. When I went over 70 miles on pitroad there was no comment (whatch
that speed)and my Rpm was about 6500 instead of 8000 Rpm.
I thought the pitspeed at Talladega was 55 miles?

Yeah, something is very wrong here.

I had it set to 103%.  I started last (on purpose, I always do).  Everything
was ok until there was a spin (in which I was a part of), and then it went
to crap.

I recovered, got back on the gas, and went from 43rd to 4th in less than one
lap.  I even blew right by the cars that were AHEAD of the incident.

The top 3 cars seemed to be a normal top speed.

I noticed the AI getting slower and slower as the race went on.  That's what
caused the incident.  They got so slow I booted someone in turn 2.

The AI, at Dega at least, is completely hosed.

Do you have the "Adaptive Speed Control" on?  If you do, uncheck it. Also if
you are running on "Automatic", try "Manual". It seems that the ASC will slow
down the field until you get up in the top five, and then the AI will go back
to normal.

The lateral setting in the track.ini (whatever it's called-makes them
give each other space running door to door) could be increased,
and I also saw them ram each other from behind a few times
(coming up on a slower car which had just exited the pits that lap).
Nothing quite so bizarre as described above tho.

No, I do not.  I run manual races only at 103%.

I knew someone was going to ask that as soon as I finished posting :)
