The single post I tried earlier this week met with little success. If
someone is named specifically in the message header, they take more
notice.

Perhaps not.

You only saw five?  I see like a million or something...

That would make most sense of all I think. *Everyone* reads their own email!

Let them get their own newsgroup then (and no, that isn''t this one).

Bye,

Just put all the names in a single header!

You have my vote, it's becoming quite annoying lately..

No offense to you personally, but to EVERYONE who's complaining
again.......use the filter in your newsgroup reader. Takes 10 seconds.

RASCAR is not a true league. It's a way for people from r.a.s.
to get together and race. Simple as that. We are using N2003 because it has
the best online code, but any sim that has good online code could be used in
the future.

There are no points, or a championship to be won. No prizes. No bragging
rights, sponsorship, etc.

R.a.s. is about auto simulators, and supposedly the people who frequent this
newsgroup are very serious and enthusiastic about auto sims. Online racing
is a key ingredient that most of us hope will be included in all auto sims
in the near future. It only makes sense then that we should get together and
race each other, and then discuss those races here at r.a.s.

Hear, hear... but way to sensible for entertainment value, Dave.

Sorry, but there's plenty of scope for creating such a group outside of
newsgroup discussion.  A few announcements to let people know about the
other forum would be more than sufficient.

Don't worry in a few weeks it will die down to 2 or 3 threads a week.
Just getting everything organized has necessitated the increase in
RASCAR threads.

And... as allways you can create a kill file if you don't want to see
them.

This is not ment to be a flame to anyone, but I can't believe the whining about
the Rascar posts. I don't race anything but the Pappy sims, starting with the
first, (offline because I don't believe I'm good enough) and don't have any
interest in GPL or Formula 1 sims or any of their derivitives. I do enjoy
reading the Rascar stuff to see what is going on and how everyone is doing.
When I find something I don't want to read, I DON"T READ IT, I skip over it. I
don't sit and *** and moan that it is on here. Last time I looked I haven't
been charged extra for the posts I don't want to read.
My job is done here.
